ExecTube has reached the end of its journey
We are deeply sorry to announce that ExecTube is no longer available. YouTube now does this itself, and we could not keep a separate product alive next to a tool built into the place you were already watching.
We couldn't outlast Ask YouTube
ExecTube had one job: help you get something out of a YouTube video without treating the whole timeline as the product. Ask a question, find the part that mattered, and leave with an answer.
YouTube then shipped Ask YouTube, a native tool that does what ExecTube did, on the watch page and in search, inside the app you already had open. We looked for a reason for you to keep coming to us anyway. A feature that lives where the video plays, on the account you already use, is not a race a smaller product wins by being a little nicer.
We did not close because the idea was wrong. We closed because the idea stopped needing us. Keeping ExecTube open beside Ask YouTube would have meant asking you to keep a second product for a job YouTube now does on its own.
Your data is safe
Nothing you kept in ExecTube disappeared with the product. Your data is in Google Drive, on the account you used to sign in. Open Drive with that same account and it will be there, in your files, not locked behind an export step or a deadline.
We are not holding a copy back, and we will not ask you to move anything before it vanishes. It is already yours.
Open Google DriveSee you later
This is not goodbye. It's see you later. ExecTube is finished. We are not. What we cared about was never a thin wrapper around someone else's player. It was the moment between a long video and the answer you actually came for.
We're coming back soon with a new product, aimed at a job that is not already solved inside YouTube. If you want to know when that is, leave your email below. You'll be the first to hear from us.
